I burnt the roof of my mouth over two hours ago eating a hot parsnip. Still really hurts. Cold water not helping. Does anyone have any clues as to what I can do to help please ?

Could you suck on some ice?
Or eat some cold foods like ice cream or yoghurt?

An "old wives tale" is baking powder mixed to a paste and applied. It works in the Chalet School...
