Getting rid of a smell without opening the window

I’m looking after a friend’s cat for the weekend in my house. The cat used its litter tray last night the downstairs of the house still smells ‘interesting’ after it’s been emptied. I can’t open the windows as the cat can’t go outside....how can I get rid of the smell?

I’ve lit a candle but it just seems to have mingled with the cat poo smell Envy (not envy)

I keep joss sticks especially for the litter tray. I light one as soon as I smell anything and by the time I have dealt with the tray the smell has more or less gone

We have a trained monkey who picks out the offending 'lumps' from the litter tray and throws them at passing cars.

We got him from a Safari Park.
(He came with a handful of windscreen wipers, they has proved quite useful too.)

@AlCalavicci have you tried 'worlds best cat litter' we had the same problem for years but this was a game changer. It absorbs the smells so quickly and lasts for ages! Initially the cost is higher but we are using much less so it actually works out cheaper.
