WHITE CHIN HAIR

What the fuck?? Nothing in my adult life has prepared me for this.

I knew maturity would one day lead to chin hair, but no one ever warmed me the fuckers can turn white.

(I’ve been slathering sudocrem over my chin to protect my skin from mask - is that why all my chin fluff has turned white seemingly overnight, or am I turning into an old crone? I’m in my thirties!)

I'm 39 and have noticed a real upswing in the beard department of late. A couple of white ones too! I think everyone gets this??! Just buy good tweezers.

My main concern is that I end up in a coma and EVERYONE will know!

I get two white eyebrow hairs when I ovulate the past few years. They grow super fast and actually look more transparent than white. The start when I ovulate and by the time I have my period the are super long. They are very odd and I don’t known why I suddenly have sprouted white hairs!

Yes, I have a couple of white eyebrow hairs too, never linked it to ovulation before. Fortunately one is below the brow line in an area I would normally pluck anyway.

I tend towards a Frida Kahlo bushy monobrow naturally so if I go into a coma it won’t be long before my eyebrows and facial hair combine to take over my entire face and I turn into Cousin It.

I used to have one that was like straw in both colour and texture very Worzel-esque. Plucked it a few times and then it never came back.

@BashfulClam What's the best time to pluck? As soon as they appear, or do you wait until they've grown a bit longer first?

That reminds me of the time I saw a pale hair on the very top of my cheekbone. I had been cuddling the cat so assumed it was a cat hair stuck to my foundation.
I went to pick it off and realised it was a really long eyebrow hair, about three times the normal length that was white!
Not sure how long that had been there.

Look at the positives. White chin hairs are less visible than dark chin hairs.

I've had a couple of really thick, stubby ones. They tweezered out beautifully and haven't been seen for a few years - I'm almost disappointed. Now I attempt to police DHs beard for rogue ones.

At least you don't have ginger chin hairs. I have ginger chin hairs and they've multiplied like crazy since I had a babySad

I have a deal with my sisters that if any of us end up in a coma the others will pluck the chin hairs...
I have a few white ones that pop up as well as a horrible black wirey cheek one that keeps reappearing at random Blush

I've posted about this before as desperately don't want to end up a bearded lady!

Plucking just makes them come back dark and wiry. I need to find a home laser device that works on them - anyone?

@pearpickingporky84 , I had that deal with my mum who was horrified by her whiskers. However when she ended up in a home it didn't seem appropriate or kind to draw attention to them. She sadly died with all her whiskers intact - I've never been sure whether I did her a disservice

I have a solitary chin hair that has gone white recently. Again I console myself that it's less visible. But so tough! And it's a master at dodging the tweezers.

I'm more aggeived at the one in my fringe and 3 at my temples that show up when I plait my hair. I'm sure DH hasn't noticed yet as he'd tease me mercilessly as revenge for me teasing him for the last 20 years Grin

Welcome to the club. Grin Not 40 yet but got a good couple of thick white chin hairs now (harder to find than the black ones but at least they're less obvious at first glance.) A few white eyebrow hairs and a couple of eyelashes as well and don't get me started on the pubic area.

I'm finding my leg hair isn't as thick and dark as it used to be and underarms don't grow so quickly now so shaving is easier for both of those now thankfully.

I swear I felt some long hairs on my bum cheeks the other day though, I'm not ready for that shit but don't think I fancy trying to shave my arse. Blush

To those worried about ending up in a coma, my mum was in ICU five years ago, very kind nurse asked me if my mum shaved as after 5 days she had an extensive beard. I said she did and from then on whoever was looking for her made sure they shaved her chin and upper lip. Was very touched by it. Mum was ok in the end btw.

I have one black as night hair that protrudes at random intervals from my white as a sheet chin. I only see it when I'm driving and the sun catches it. I am terrified each time that it has been there a while. I am assured by friends these things just appear overnight. Even though they are the length of a months hair growth.

My mum has dark skin and gets long white hairs all over her chin. She doesn't give a fuck. I hate looking at them. She also has white in her eyebrows and she never plucks them! They are an odd "shape".

Wait until you’re 64! I have countless white eyelashes, grey pubes and I thought I had a loose hair on my eye last week that was a 2 inch eyebrow hair!
