I once purchased a video game which turned out not to be compatible with my console somehow.

Oh so many times. A coat that goes with nothing I own. Shoes a touch too small because they didn’t have my size etc etc.

I don’t buy anything now unless I’ve given myself a weeks cooling off period. If I still want it after a week then I really do want it.

Too many to mention. I dread to think how much money I’ve wasted over the years. I used to have a bit of a shopping addiction, in that I’d use it to cheer me up whenever I was down (which was a lot). Thankfully I’m a lot better now and put a lot of thought into whatever I do buy.

The biggest purchase regret we have is one of those bins with the sensor lid. Bloody useless.

Wedding. Major buyer's remorse. Grin

The house I bought. Don’t live there now - I rent with not a cat in hell’s chance of owning again.

A pair of shoes online, which are really uncomfortable.

Many dodgy clothes over the years!

My mum bought me the "Once Upon A Time" complete boxset for xmas last year but unfortunately it was on blu-ray instead of normal Dvd which i dont have. She had misplaced the receipt too (she buys presents months in advance.) Luckily my son pointed out that i can still watch it through his PS4 so all is not lost!!

Yes - and then I spent months angrily waving my hand over its replacement (which wasn't a sensor bin).

The odd online course whose true 'worth' is hundreds of dollars, but I'm getting the chance to purchase ALL THIS for only $39...

Many clothes when I was younger. Often made the mistake of buying designer stuff in sales because I felt I was getting the label for a bargain - ended up never wearing the stuff. I actively cringe a bit thinking about it.

sanityisamyth · 28/08/2020 19:42

Wasn't strictly my purchase as I had no say in the matter but the house that my ExH bought in our joint names. It has been nothing but trouble to sell. It's taken me 5 years so far . . .
