Commute into London - South West trains

Is anyone commuting into London at the moment? If you are, can you tell me how busy it is please? I hated the commute pre-Covid, so I can only imagine how awful it is now.

Hopefully it is very quiet??

Varies depending on the time and day. And weather it appears. I’m on the same train as yesterday and there are 12 people in my whole carriage. Yesterday all seats but 2 were taken. The extras yesterday were day trippers and teenagers shopping. Today it’s pouring. Ask on local Facebook group for very local details on which trains to avoid. E.g my 0650 is busy as only 4 coaches, the 0709 which requires a change is easy to have 6 seats to yourself on both trains. Trial and error......

Thanks, Orangedaisy. I normally catch a train before 7am and they are always rammed, but I'm going to go after 9am tomorrow, to see how it is.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for heavy rain!!

I’m sure that’ll be fine. I got one just before 9 the other day (about half an hour out of London) and it was very quiet. Fridays are better too.
