Toezone school shoes

Has anybody used these before and can tell me if they are any good? My 5 year old daughter really wants a certain pair of these but they are cheaper then other school shoes and I always thought it was better to splash out on school shoes. But if they are just as good as Clark's etc then I'm happy to have a bargain

Are they the ones you can get from Very?

formerbabe · 27/08/2020 11:22

My dd had a pair last year...they were fine. I found them better than bog standard supermarket shoes

MamaGothel · 27/08/2020 11:26

Aries yes and you can also get them in Sainsburys

Yes, we have got them from Sainsburys & Very.

They are great, lovely cushioning for the foot, really squidgy & comfortable.

DD has recently got a new pair & I dont think the toe has scuffed at all. She hates 'girls' shoes, so I was suprised to get her out of her black trainers she usually wears.

BrianPotter · 27/08/2020 11:33

Argos do them as well, We got these as she didn't want shiny and she wears these with shorts & trousers at School.

I think we gave the last pair she outgrew to a charity shop as they still looked so good.

Well the ones I got scuffed in hours -and I don't mean a little bit really either

I always go to Clarks now for school shoes even though there more expensive they last her 6 months if she doesn't grow and they're better fitting on her than supermarket shoes as well
Supermarket shoes last half that in my experience and that's best case scenario

I found the boys ones for my DS sturdy and longlasting, the girls ones for my DD were pretty shit. I get hers from Clarks now. Boys shoes tend to be sturdier anyway (I guess because all girls do all day is sitting and drawing so they don't need robust footwear Hmm)

Bought some from Sainsbury’s last year, really pleased sturdy shoes that lasted ages would definitely recommend

MamaGothel · 27/08/2020 14:15

Thanks everyone. Mixed reviews but at least if they don't last it won't be too much money down the drain.

My kids have always found them really comfy. DS trashes whatever shoes we buy him, no matter how good quality they were supposed to be, so we just buy these from the supermarket.

Beaniebeemer · 27/08/2020 16:04

Yes my daughter had a pair. I was very impressed with them for the money. Miles better than Clarks! From memory they can’t up quite small and they only go up to a size 1 or 2.

AriesTheRam · 27/08/2020 16:09

@MamaGothel ive bought ds 6 some for September im hoping they last they look v sturdy. We got the boot style ones

I've just bought DS2 his third pair of these shoes! I've found them to be a hell of a lot more hard-wearing and long lasting than the Clarkes or so their brand school shoes he's had. DS knackers shoes quickly, no idea how he manages it. But the two pairs of toezone shoes he's had have lasted months - he's outgrown then rather than then wearing out. Of course they looked scruffier by the time he outgrew them, but nothing like the other shoes he's had. DS also has very wide feet and a high instep - no problem fitting in these shoes, unlike most shoes that aren't specifically very wide fitting. DS loves the memory foam in them when they are new, but that does go flatter pretty quickly tbh.

So I highly recommend them! My only gripe is they only go up to size 2, as I'd buy a pair for my size 3 self Grin

WankPuffins · 27/08/2020 16:16

Oh I love them.

I order them from Argos for Dd. They are really good quality.

Evilwasps · 27/08/2020 16:18

My son had a pair last year. He said they were very comfy. However he plays hard at school and they didn't last anything like as well as Clarks do. Also the cushioning inside was damp when he got home (from puddles or sweat Envy) so I had to put them on the radiator to dry every night.

We've gone back to Clarks this term, though they are much more expensive than I remember them being, approx £20 more than Toe Zone shoes Shock

I found ToeZone shoes to be strong and sturdy, my son loves them and they even managed to survive his endless days in the playground! I will certainly be getting my next pair from there. I bought from their website toezone.co.uk but you can also find them in Next, Sainsbury's and Argos I think!

Thestruggler · 09/03/2023 17:31

I get Toezone for my five year old DD, she doesn't like how they look, "boys shoes", but they are really tough shoes.
