Cleaning fees

Hi Mums...I’ve got a question that might not seem quite “mum related” but I work full time as a self employed cleaner and I absolutely love it.
Most of my income goes on my 20 months baby’s nursery fee(I know some of you might think that I should instead spend time with my son,but it means I get to keep my job plus nursery fees won’t be so high as soon as he turns 2)
All was good till a few weeks ago when someone pointed that I’m charging way less than what other cleaning companies charge (I’m currently £12 per hour and it’s has been brought to my attention that normally companies charge between £17-£20 per hour???)
Now I’m a bit disappointed and not as happy as before thinking that I’m underpaid as I know I provide the best service and work really really long hours ...so how much do you guys pay for cleaning if I may ask?
I want this to be private as I don’t want anybody on social media seeing this 😬
Thank you and hope not to disturb with my question 😖

@hedgehogger1

I pay £11/ hour. You may more when it's through a company as you're also paying for company overheads/ insurance/ someone to cover in sickness or holiday. They also provide all equipment and products. A lone cleaner can't compare to a company unless they offer the same
This.

I pay £12.50 an hour direct to cleaner, Bedfordshire. It's just her and so no back up if she can't make it but you have that cover with an agency hence it's more.

Her products, my hoover and mop.

@Sparklfairy yes and I wouldn’t put the price up like that anyway ..I was just a bit disappointed!
I’ve been with most of my customers for over 10 years and hate asking for money ..I’ve started 10 years ago with £10 per hour so you can see it did not go that high ..but all the cleaning products have at least doubled in price plus now all the ppe is so expensive ..can barley find a box of disposable gloves for under £15 😓
