Filling snacks for school break time

Dds (13) break time has changed until later in the morning and she will apparently be starving between lessons 🙄 What are good, filling, veggie snacks that she could take? I think they get a 20 minute break. She doesn't like nuts unless they are in Nutella, doesn't like things like hummus, she will eat most fruits but doesn't find them filling. Maybe muesli and yogurt would be good? She will have either porridge or thick slices of homemade toast with Nutella for breakfast and a cup of tea. Lunch will be soup and a bread roll, or pasta, or sandwiches, with fruit and/or carrot sticks, cucumber and cherry tomatoes. She is ravenous at all times but is built like a gazelle and obviously burns everything quickly.
Please tell me your suggestions or tried and tested snack success stories.

Ive just had a baking session because i have the same problem, i made pizza swirls, basically a batch of bread dough rolled out into a rectangle, spread with thick tomato sauce onions and cheese and rolled up then sliced and put in a tin, like savoury Chelsea buns.
Also banana breakfast bars, like a soft flapjack with some of the butter and sugar replaced with two mashed bananas.
I also have a couple of different fruit muffins in the freezer.
I di have crisps and chicolate biscuits too!

Honestly, all I ever wanted at that age, before lunch, was another sandwich.

I'm an old crock now, and still partial to a sandwich or pitta bread with any of: cheese & tomato, marmite, peanut butter, cheese & beetroot, cottage cheese & cucumber, salad, blackberry jam. Not all at once, that's a bit Mrs Cropley.

Add crisps and it's a yessss!! moment.

Or veggie sausage rolls.. dead easy to make with packet fluff pastry.
Homemade cheese straws?

...I’m starving now

Small sandwich plus fruit or yogurt?

Ooh, veggie sausage rolls ... good one.

Sage & onion; cheese, onion & potato; cheese & tomato 🍅

This is making me hungry! I'm trying to do 16:8 and have lost around a stone so far but I am hungry tonight after reading all these suggestions. I made an amazing spinach, ricotta, mushroom and mozzarella lasagne tonight and I'm tempted to reheat a portion now.
I've added frozen blueberries and cherries, dried cranberries, oats, raisins, chocolate chips, bananas, cinnamon, apples to my shopping basket purely for school! Neither of them like veggie sausage rolls strange children but love anything fruity in puff pastry. Time to get creative. Thank you for all the suggestions and I hope this thread is useful for other people too.

Ooh just remembered a recipe from my Nana. Hard boiled egg in puff pastry ( like a sausage roll) . She also did them in Parmesan shortcrust pastry too!

Look for savoury flapjack recipes with plenty of seeds. Really filling but without the sugar of the sweet versions.

JamieLeeCurtains · 26/08/2020 21:04

Apple and custard pastries.

FedUpWithCovid · 26/08/2020 21:19

dried fruit
more substantial but lower sugar bars like trek, kind, eat
savoury or minimal sugar flapjack
do some blind nut tasting and see what your dd actually unexpectedly likes!

My go to snacks for me and my teens:

Oatcakes & baby bel cheese
Greek yoghurt (full fat) with blue berries
Banana + Brazil nuts

Basically fat + protein = filling

I'm going to try these

realfood.tesco.com/recipes/raspberry-and-strawberry-oaties.html

They love oats and fruit so I'm hoping they turn out and the dc like them.
