eBay item... are they trying it on?

I've sold an item on eBay, posted over a week ago. Buyer has now been in touch to say they haven't received it.

Thankfully I'd kept the post office receipt, so was able to check tracking, which confirms it has been delivered. Buyer says it hasn't been and wants a refund.

Are they trying it on? Am I likely to get any support from eBay?

As long as you’ve got proof of delivery (so the tracking number) ebay should rule in your favour.
And to not contact you first is a CF buyer imo

Just as a heads up for next time - every time you send something by tracked post/courier, you should input the tracking number directly into Ebay as soon as you've dispatched it. Firstly to show Ebay you've really sent it, and secondly because it discourages CF chancers in the first place by letting them know you're tracking it.

You might still be able to input the tracking number into Ebay, but I'm not sure if it's too late now as I think there's a time limit.
