Dh anxiety

Hi, I just need some advice really. My dh has suffered with anxiety for a few years. He sometimes gets signed of work for a few weeks as it really affects him with working sometimes. This morning his employer has given him a letter for him to sign to see his medical records. Why do they need this, will he be fired? I'm really worried.

How often does he get signed off? Has he been referred to occupational health?

The employer will not be given access to his full medical history, rather they'll ask the GP for a report on his condition, treatment, likely recurrence and recovery.

This year he was signed off for a month before lockdown, then he returned to work for 2 months and was then signed off for another 2 weeks. He has never been revered to an occupational therapist.

Is he having any therapy or treatment for his anxiety?

Yes he is currently receiving therepy through th GP's referral, and before lockdown he was having a few private sessions but they were cancelled.
