What makes a person Fit?

I don't mean Phwoarrrrr Fit, or SuperFit, but I started home workouts in April when I was clearly Very Unfit. Now I am Less Unfit but wouldn't call myself Fit, not sure when someone crosses the boundary? Is there an accepted definition?

According to thr dictionary it’s the condition of being physically strong and healthy,

Dictionary couldn't be much more vague Grin I mean I'm super strong and healthy compared to my mother, and a total weakling compared to my friend who is into crossfit and long distance running.

Good question! To me, fitness is more about stamina than strength. I would say someone who does a lot of cardio eg cycles, runs, swims etc. Sorry, probably still pretty vague!

It depends on what you are 'fit' for! When I was younger I was very Fit regarding running and horseriding but not for weightlifting of any sort.
Nowadays I'm super Fit for cycling and weightlifting but can't run more than 200 yards without collapsing. My daughter is an elite rugby player - so very very very strong but couldn't run a marathon. My friends daughter of the same age runs a marathon with apparent ease but can't squat 100kgs like my daughter can!
