Any small business owners here - need packaging advice

I'm trying (perhaps in vain) to set up my own small business locally and on Etsy. I need to source gift boxes that will look decent and package my product safely through the post (think glass bottes, PET plastic bottles).

I don't know where the heck to start sourcing these boxes! The only decent box was £6 each - a total non-starter.

Any words of wisdom from anyone? If I wasn't intending to sell on Etsy, then paper bags and ribbons are so easy to source, but gift boxes are not so easy to source. Grateful for any words of advice!

You'll need packing boxes that you put the gift box in for good protection. Also packing peanuts and bubble wrap/shredded tissue paper to take any impact on the inner box.

Remember these packages go through a strenuous sorting and could be underneath a whole trailer of heavy parcels so it has to be pretty bombproof.

I've used
www.rajapack.co.uk and the most I've ever paid is 20p a box - I also reuse boxes I receive things in and happily scrounge boxes from friends.

Incauk.com also have an inexpensive range of gift boxes.

Remember that many couriers including royal mail won't be responsible if you send glass and it breaks in transit.

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer but there is so much to consider when you sell online so it's best to have all the information do you can get it right and succeed.
