Hi
I have lost weight, but now need to get exercising, it's not really something I enjoy! I have decided the best option for me will be home exercise videos on YouTube. I have found a few, has anybody got any recommendations please?

Gillian Michaels! Start with 30 Day Shred.

Joe Wickes - I must be a glutton for punishment. I started with his Ultimate Beginners low impact video and I have to admit it I feel hell of a lot better for it. I'm starting to bring some different exercises in from his other videos now but I've got very tempremental knees so have to pick and choose a bit.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will have a look.

Does it have to be on a video, could you stand couch to 5K? Sorry to sound like a wanker but I never ever thought I’d be able to do it, and running has literally changed my life 👍

Coffee234 · 26/08/2020 21:09

I don't think so Pumper, I don't think I would enjoy running. The aerobics works well because I can do it in my bedroom, without much fuss and get it over and done with for the day.

I started with the Body Project 6 weeks ago haven’t tried and not sticking with Joe Wicks. Great selection of videos, very very motivational and a range of people who actually do their workouts take part in the workouts. A decent length - 30 mins each. Low impact, high intensity, all standing, and no burpees (every workout/PT I have tried seems to think that burpees are the only way to get fit).

I can honestly say hand on heart I have stuck to their workouts since July 13th and even did one today after a few too many drinks, their videos MAKE you want to come back!!

Honestly give them a go...search team body project on YouTube xx

@Coffee234
This was the very first one I was recommended. The first time paused a couple of time, 6 weeks later I breeze through it stick with it they are fun!

They are a great team ....

Check out Lucy Wyndham-Read on YouTube. She has hundreds of free videos for people with differing abilities and fitness levels. She is fabulous!

BogRollBOGOF · 27/08/2020 00:57

Mr Motivator for a quick 12 min fix. Great for beginners or to pep you up. I'm using them as a running warm up.

Coffee234 · 27/08/2020 01:10

Thanks everyone. Body Project looks good. I downloaded the app, but didn't want to pay at the moment so its good to see some videos on YouTube.

@Coffee234 yeah, I didn’t sign up to the website (they do have a free plan on their website but also one you can pay for) I have only used their YouTube videos and that’s worked for me so far Grin

Just do the workouts on YouTube to start with Smile

LadyCatStark · 27/08/2020 01:15

I love Popsugar. It’s very perky American but there’s so much choice of workouts!

Coffee234 · 27/08/2020 01:22

Looks like I have some videos to keep me busy! Confused No more excuses.

Leslie Sansone Walk at Home on You Tube is great for a low intensity cardio to complement high intensity (and for building up fitness when starting out).
