Where to buy decent toddler slippers?

In the past we’ve bought Toms but they don’t seem to make kids slippers any more. Mahabis look good but don’t come in toddler sizes. Last year we bought Next slippers which were crap quality and only lasted for about two months before splitting. Where can you buy decent quality toddler slippers that will last 6-8 months?

Why? We're a no slipper house! Wouldn't a toddler be safer toddling about, stairs etc with bare feet? I have a thing about babies and toddlers in shoes. Outside only IMO. My mum once bought me some slippers for Christmas (after refusing for years to buy me some of those much coveted fluffy mules). They were huge chimp faces. I very nearly went flying the first time I went downstairs in them. I genuinely thought she was trying to kill me!!

It’s good for children to be barefoot as much as possible isn’t it?

Maybe thick socks with grippers if your floors are absolutely freezing?

We don’t have carpets. We have stone floors and your feet get freezing if you don’t wear slippers. Also I’m very keen on slippers because as a child I snapped my little toe off by accidentally kicking a table leg.

John Lewis ones are a bit pricey but have Velcro straps, aren’t dangerously bulky and have nice designs. They wear well enough to pass down

6-8 months seems arbitrary for a toddler when their feet grow so quickly.

Can you just use leather mocassins in the house. My kids never got on with slippers when small, the soles are too chunky.

No I snapped it off! The metal table leg went between my toes and I was running forward so it sheared my toe off. It was just hanging on by skin.

Thanks, I’ll check out John Lewis for slippers. It’s too cold not to wear slippers in our house and I prefer some foot protection.

That’s from September until approx April next year, when the weather warms up and the stone floor is bearable without slippers.

Sort of. They operated and pinned the bone back together. They couldn’t get it straight though. It’s sort of rotated and the toenail is on the side! It still hurts a bit even after 30 years, but they wouldn’t remove it because apparently your little toe is crucial for balance and walking?

I got DS's from Asda and primark. They've lasted three children a total of nearly 3 years. One crocodile has a missing eyeball but that's because it was bitten off by a dog.

Last year I got my DS a slipper sock from JoJo Maman Bebe. They might start having them in stock. I was really happy with them as they were socks above the ankles but had a thick sole with grips and no chance of coming off unless DS was sitting with his feet above his face pulling them off.

I like the little leather slip on ones, ‘inch blue’ are one of the main brands I see but shops like jojo maman Bebe also do their own versions. Bobux do nice ones too and they’re a ‘barefoot’ brand so won’t affect foot development

We have quite splintery floorboards so my son wears Collegien slippers to protect his feet. They’re like a slipper socks but the sole is very grippy dotted rubber. They’re super flexible too if you’re worried about staying barefoot.

Toddlers and young children should be bare feet as much as possible.

The use of slippers lots combined with wearing shoes outside I would not do.

Find some thick grippy slipper socks.

Mine had Inch Blue slippers - all leather, not restrictive and go up from baby to older primary school age.
