My husband's granddaughter is nearly four months old but he is not yet allowed to hold her due to the mother's fears of Cofid 19. Any thoughts?

I would like to think so if the adult was wearing a mask and sanitises hands before and after holding. I wouldn't see a problem myself but I do understand people's fears especially with a newborn x

The guidance is still one meter, even with a mask and clean hands.

Can't hold a baby from one meter away.

If the parents are choosing to actually follow the guidelines, they should be supported.

Why not? I've been given a iot of food for thought so I don't really need any more nuggets.
