I've got a nark on.
In work weve got people shielding who are refusing to return so I'm stuck doing their frigging work.

I've given up online dating and its full of knobheads so I wont be having another child which I'm actually ok with but I'm pissed off there is no one decent. I dont actually enjoy relationships so I dont know why I'm arsed.

I'm tired
I'm being a brat

Just remember it’s not their fault they’ve been advised to shield - though you are rightly pissed off that you e been given their work to do.

yawnsvillex · 26/08/2020 07:25

But @CormoranStrike shielding has ended so I'd be pissed off too.

Are all these people refusing to work going to get disability allowance now?

TroysMammy · 26/08/2020 07:28

My neighbour has been shielding until recently but she's been working from home the whole of lockdown.

Can your colleagues wfh?

CormoranStrike · 26/08/2020 07:28

Some people are being advised by their GP not to return to work - I would imagine they go on to sick pay. @yawnsvillex

People who refuse to return I imagine risk not being paid.

Phillycheesesteak · 26/08/2020 08:22

They are wfh but we need physical body's present to do the job.

They haven't been advised by their gp not to return

We had a lady who simply refused to come to work as of 23 March.
No health issues, nada.
Has been furloughed since.
Is now begging to come back as she’s bored and the weather isn’t as good.
We really needed her in the office the whole time.

Phillycheesesteak · 26/08/2020 10:43

Its just not fair. Were all exhausted

@Phillycheesesteak

They haven't been advised by their gp not to return
Then surely they will be sacked for not doing their role?

You must be knackered, you have my sympathy

Phillycheesesteak · 26/08/2020 11:53

They've gone crying to occupational health whose given into them

I understand you are upset and knackered and have been put in a crap situation.
This needs sorting by your management. It’s not really your colleagues fault if they are at such high risk from covid they had to shield for months on end and are now too anxious / perceive they are at too greater risk to return to the workplace.
