We have been looking for a new house for ages and have finally found 2 we really like. We need to decide by tomorrow which to offer on but can’t decide which area is better. Can anyone who knows the areas offer their opinion? Thanks

With that budget I’d not be living in Gorse Hill!
There’s plenty that fit what you are looking for in Chorlton

Would Whalley Range be near enough the tram for you

With that budget you don't need to be considering gorse hill. There are much nicer areas you can afford.

For £400k you will afford better areas than these. If area is important.

The train from any of the three Urmston stations (Flixton/Chassen Rd/Urmston) gets you to Manchester Oxf Rd in less than 20 mins

Friends loved living on this road - half way between two of the train stations, great primaries (Flixton Juniors is good) and massive park playing fields. 15 min walk to pubs and bars in Urms

I love Stretford especially around Victoria Park, it has a great community feel & lots of stuff happening there. But I wouldn’t pay £400k to live in Gorse Hill! What about Firswood?

Whitefield always wins because if it's close proximity to Slattery's.

I've always found Stretford a bit rough, but my experiences have only been from ex living near to the big Tesco, then near Stretford Mall.
