Swarovski for an 8 year old?

DD will be 8 next week and like me she loves jewellery. She is not into toys at all so I don't really know what to get her.
I am a big Swarovski fan and DD always admires my jewellery and wants some "proper" jewellery herself.
Swarovski have some very nice bracelets and earrings with cats on etc so they are very age appropriate. DD is a very careful girl always polishing her other jewellery so I know she will take care of it very well.
Do you think it is a good idea?

I foresee fights about whether she can wear it to school etc ...

Perhaps a kit to make her own. Not a children's one but a metal work type thing. You can probably get some in Hobbycraft.

I see no problem with this at all. I think it’s a lovely idea. It’s something she likes and she is careful with other jewellery so I would absolutely get her a piece - and you said there are child suitable pieces. I imagine she’d be thrilled.

Do you mean genuine Swarovski or someone selling their own designs using Swarovski elements?

I’d go with the latter to be honest as a cheaper option incase of breakage, but you know your daughter best.
