Laptop recommendations

I am applying for a grant for my business to enable me to work from home. I need a decent laptop. I’ve no idea what most of the labels mean and I need a couple of quotes.
It needs to run Zoom/teams etc (Possibly other apps at the same time) and have a large screen. Possibly used for video editing too. If its got a decent webcam in it, then that would be good as I’d rather not set up separately each time.
I quite like a touch screen as I currently use an ipad so tend to touch it before remembering the mouse.

The video editing means you will need a more powerful laptop. Have you considered a Macbook?

What kind of budget do you have?

Video editing will be at the basic end, chopping and sticking more than anything.
I’m looking to see what a decent one will cost for now. I’d love a MacBook but I’m not comfortable with spending that much if there’s a cheaper version.

What about a secondhand macbook?
I bought my son a Macbook air from cex 2 years ago. It was already 2 years old when we bought it and we paid around 550 for it. Its still going strong and he does coding as well as video editing on it. The only think we changed was a bought a new battery for it recently as it wasn't holding its charge anymore. But other than that, it's a brilliant laptop.

I was looking at the refurbed ones.

Any opinions on this one? Seems cheap for a lot of features.
