Interview prep - help please!

I gave an interview on Wednesday - first for over 10 years! I know they'll ask me technical issues and I'm ready for that, but what other things are usual to ask??

I'm so out of practice, will they ask about salary expectations? (I hate talking about money) Or ambition to get promoted? Or why I want to leave my current job? What else might they ask?

So worried I might turn into a stuttering mess...

I would imagine it will be questions designed to see if you have the right skills and experience for the role as well as the right attitude for the company.
Look at the person spec in the advert and do some thinking/prep about times when you’ve demonstrated those skills to give you something concrete to talk about.

Have a think about your strengths. Also weaknesses and try and put a positive spin on whatever it is.

Research the company and have a question ready for the end.

I don’t imagine they will talk about salary and I wouldn’t ask about it but prepare yourself anyway.

Good luck!

Thanks!
I've been through the job spec and made sure that I included examples of the skills they're looking for, so will need to brush up on my CV content Smile

I know quite a bit about the company and have worked with some of the staff before so not sure how far to go with asking questions about that.

They've seen examples of my work (when I used to work with some of them) but I guess they might want me to talk through them in more detail.
