MLM and "training"

Soooo a few ex colleagues have been suckered into various MLM schemes. I have politely and successfully rebuffed them so don't want to waste their hopes asking but I need to know - what exactly is arbonne/etc "training"?
Is it

  1. Where they just explain how to be super confident and "the best level of yourself"
Or
  1. Where they give you tips on how to sucker more people in?

I'm really really nosey so want to know.....

No idea but I presume they'd teach you how to sound/look like an implausible braggy idiot who needs a reality check and how to piss of all your friends and acquaintances until they unfollow you on SM and avoid you at all costs Grin

Why dont you apply to work for one and let us know? Go under cover 😃

I used to be a business coach from Actiderm, which ia now Actilabs (awful company, terrible ethics and a pervert of a CEO with a wife ans son who look at everyone like you're something awful they stepped in.)

Anyway..... training consists of well known methods of turning purchases into party bookings, how to upsell and how to beat your nearest rival colleague by offering competitions and promotion.

Frankly, its shite.

And this is why i don't have anything to do with it anymore.

Icanflyhigh · 24/08/2020 00:40

There is also a whole load of training around social media posts and how NOT to pass your friends off with it.... does not work!!!

Norma27 · 24/08/2020 08:07

The training from what I can tell is,

  1. Look at me, this is how much money I make (lies anyway).
  2. This is how you can try to get more victims to join.

There is no actual training in anything.

There's a blog where someone tells in story form her entire experience with one of the MLMs. I can't remember what it's called but someone on here will know.

'Sheer brass necked-ness' I imagine. This is after one of their consultants talked me into trialling their skincare. My face was a scarlet burning mess, when I politely explained I had in interest in purchasing the monstrous stuff, I was told: 'mmm... Yes, that can happen when you've been used to inferior products, it's a normal reaction where your skin's pH is rebalancing itself'Confused

Interesting thanks all...

I totally would go undercover but don't want to through the 200 odd quid you pay to join down the drain, love the idea though!
@gymbummy that's bonkers!!
