Moving to Shropshire

DH and I are thinking of moving to Shropshire. I lived there for a few years as a child and have visited in more recently but I'm not very familiar with all the areas and where's best to move to.
We have two small children and another on the way so need somewhere with good primary schools and secondary schools for the future

Do you need to be able to commute for work?

Do you want large town or countryside?

I'm currently a SAHP, DH is looking at jobs in Shropshire, most of them are within telford, it would be most too far to commute to where he works at the moment. Living in the countryside would be nice but I'd want to be fairly close to towns

Shropshire’s not the easiest place to get around still being so rural, however you can get to Telford easily enough from Shrewsbury or Bridgnorth areas.

Shrewsbury is a great town with some good schools. Look at Meole Brace or The Priory for secondary and St Giles or St George’s for primary.

There’s lots going on in Shrewsbury for all ages and trains to Birmingham and Manchester are regular.

And it’s bloody beautiful in Shropshire, I’m not at all biased.
