Premier Inn Beds

Has anyone bought a Premier Inn bed? I’ve been considering buying one for a while but I’ve never committed to the purchase for some reason.

I have just been looking again and got as far as adding it to my basket before stalling again.

The Trust Pilot reviews aren’t good but I think they’re all grouped under Hypnos rather than the specific Premier Inn bed.

Does anyone have one and can advise on whether it’s worth the money or if they regret buying it?

@Oopsadaisydoddle that’s good to know.
Did you just buy the mattress and divan from them? I’m finding it hard to match a headboard too, yours looks good! The bed base does look fairly neutral to be fair which is good.

Yes but just the mattress, almost 5 years ago and I still love it!

Appuskidu · 23/08/2020 16:46

@Oopsadaisydoddle

We got one and love it!! We've had it two years and I sleep so well on it (well apart from when my ailments keep me awake).

Prior to gutting our bedroom and getting it, I slept on our sofa on and off for nearly two years because our old bed was awful. Since having this, I won't budge out of it. Here's ours (king size).

Ooh, your post is really helpful as I can’t actually find a photo of a ‘real’ one (ie not PI purple!) which I thought was odd.

We are very close to ordering one as well and I’ve been scouring reviews of it which have surprised me in a lack of photos. Did you get the one with the drawers? Are they at the foot of the bed?

This is really cheeky but would you be able to lift the cover up and take a photo of the end of the bed base for me so I can see what it looks like? PM is fine!! Spending £1000 on something there are no photos of is slightly upsetting me!

Some of the reviews mention the pillow top mattress developing a ‘Hypnos ridge’ ?! Have you found this or are you pleased? Most beds I find too hard (ours is quite soft) but I sleep well in Premier Inns so thought it’s worth a punt.

@Appuskidu the ‘pillow top ridge’ is rife on Trust Pilot which is what I found most concerning!

I don’t fancy spending £1050 on a bed for it to do that Confused

I've got the mattress on an Ikea bed frame, and I love it. I stay in Premier Inns a lot so had tested it out well before buying and couldn't be more pleased. It's a bloody good price for a Hypnos mattress.

It seems the ridge is where the sides sink slightly leaving a ridge in the middle. Trust Pilot reviewers have said they’ve had assessors out from Hypnos who have claimed this is normal and you should expect this to happen.

I nearly bought one but ended up on the John Ryan website instead and then bought from them instead

Appuskidu · 23/08/2020 17:13

@Oopsadaisydoddle

Drawers are at the bottom and really sturdy..we have them on both sides. We haven't got any kind of ridge and we're both well padded so I imagine if anyone was going to, we would. The mattress looks a bit dull in these pics (my rubbish photography skills) but it is just a cream colour.
Thank you so much for those photos-you have no idea how useful that is!Flowers

The info online says they deliver it into your bedroom-presume it’s two delivery people who take it upstairs -was it all straightforward?

It says it takes up to 30 days as well-do you get to choose the delivery day?

I went through a phase of needing to stay in Premier Inns on a fairly regular basis a few years ago -I have back trouble and I slept so well on their beds, they were really comfortable and helped my back so much. Good to know you can actually buy them.

AnImperfectParent · 23/08/2020 19:39

Awaiting delivery of a Premier Inn mattress at the moment! Can't wait!

Be warned they have quite big delays at the moment due to Covid. I think delivery is usually within a month but we ordered mid-July and ours isn't even going to be manufactured until mid September.
