Ikea mattress thoughts/advice please

Hi

So my king size mattress is officially knackered. I can't take any more mornings waking up with my back in agony Sad

Money is really tight. I have been looking at mattresses. I have seen that some Ikea mattresses get good reviews and are in my price range...

I am considering the Hovag mattress. Does anyone have this and is it actually any good? I know £229 is very very cheap for a mattress but I can't afford to waste that kind of money if it's rubbish.

Any other suggestions would also be very welcome Smile

We bought a cheap mattress from IKEA in a similar situation. It's fine, not brilliant, but better than its predecessor. It was only supposed to be a stopgap for a few months but we've kept it for now as there doesn't seem any point replacing it when it's still perfectly serviceable. The only issue I've found is that it's foam so I get very hot at night, but I should have realised that before I bought it.

They all come with a 25yr guarantee I think, so it wouldn't be a waste of money.

I bought this last week, it is wonderful. I wake feeling much more refreshed. I got it after getting one for my daughter (MN recommendation) last year. I should have got ours sooner!

We've got one of these and I think it's brilliant. We bought it in January/February time, chose the medium firm one, and its been fantastic for my bad back and hips.

We've spent a fortune on mattresses over the past decade and this one has been by far the best

I have one- had it for 2 years. Very comfy and no issues with my bad back

Oh, your replies are encouraging. Is the Hovag the best option out of the Ikea mattresses ?
