My children were massive play mobil fans. I loved it too, and even now my kids are adults they always buy Playmobil when choosing presents for little cousins etc.

My daughter loved beanie babies - so did I, gorgeous wee things.

Lego and Octonauts. Annoying as I’ve a massive investment in montissori wooden toys :)

Scruffyoak · 23/08/2020 11:16

I still love the sylvanian family toys and love that my youngest is now old enough to play with the collection.

I had maybe 3 barbies but loved playing with them!!! Even my brother would as well. They used to have pool parties in the bathroom sink Grin

With 3 daughters I suppose eventually they'll have barbies. Don't like skimpy clothes? There's modest wear all over the internet!! Also they come in every professional carrer on earth and beyond! So that can be an interesting option as well

I love Lego and marble run - I could build marble run for hours!!

Beanie babies. I have my own collection

Kinetic sand. Love the stuff

Lemondrops41 · 23/08/2020 11:45

My son has a Leapfrog Rockit and I love playing the "find it game"!

SauvignonExtraChilled · 23/08/2020 11:46

I loved my DDs Tinker bell kitchen. I always loved plastic food, pretend ovens etc when I was little, so it must have taken me back Blush

This kitchen even had the sound of running water which even as a (then) 25 year old, used to get me very excited Grin

Genuinely miss my DD having toys. She's a teenager now and it's all about the Nintendo Switch.

pinkgin85 · 23/08/2020 12:10

Sophie the Giraffe, DS now 5 loved it and she's currently in my 8 month olds mouthSmile

Seeline · 23/08/2020 12:25

Lego
Playmobil
Spirograph - mainly because I always wanted one as a child but never got one 😁

GreatestShowUnicorn · 23/08/2020 12:42

@grey12 my dd has never had barbies we do have a collection of Lottie dolls they are lovely.

LynetteScavo · 23/08/2020 12:48

Brio train track, Duplo/Lego Playdough.

The DC would probably say Nerfguns Hmm Just asked DD which was her favourite toy ever and she said Sylvanians.

Stompythedinosaur · 23/08/2020 12:55

Lego of various types is a winner for my dds.

Gravitrax is my favourite. Dp and I regularly play with it when the dc are in bed.

MyNameHasBeenTaken · 23/08/2020 12:58

Lego!
My dcs have always loved outdoor toys
Bikes, skates, kites..
But for indoors , I think lego wins

Nix2020 · 23/08/2020 13:00

Fisher price little people. Loved them. When I was young now my son and his cousin adore them.

CormoranStrike · 23/08/2020 13:04

We got DD a scooter for Christmas once - it was bright blue, and she says the fastest scooter in town. She adored that!

My daughter had play therapy for a long time when she was little and this was a favourite. I love it, it's so simple and yet she was captivated by it. I pretty much buy one for every baby that arrives now.

victoriasponge678 · 23/08/2020 13:07

Playmobil fans here too and then they all progressed to lego

I love the fact that the toys are so unisex

Not great dolls or car fans

stressbucket1 · 23/08/2020 13:10

@grey12 we bought the barbie campervan that was great but trying to get a barbie with suitable clothing for a camping trip was a challenge

ilovebagpuss · 23/08/2020 13:18

Lego
All the books
Wooden Blocks When they were small and those bigger plastic bricks that go together hours and hours of tower/pyramid/enclosures to put things in. We had some animals that went with the blocks and we played with these for hours.
Playmobil
Play dough
They also had a charity shop Plastic house that opened up and had a handle honestly the hours of play out of that with little people and animals. I think it was about £2!

Broomfondle · 23/08/2020 13:27

@FreezerBird

That toy had given my DS so much and is now my go to baby present. I think I had one when I was little too.

ParkheadParadise · 23/08/2020 13:32

I loved dd1's buckaroo from years ago. We would play with it for hours.

Elliasnore · 23/08/2020 13:32
