Old c-section scar started hurting. Feeling worried :(

Hi,
I’ve had 2 c-sections (one emergency, one elective). The most recent one was almost 4 years ago. Over the last few days the area around my scar has started hurting, similar to how it felt a couple of months after surgery. Tender, pulling, twingey.
I’m feeling anxious and exhausted for other reasons and recently I’ve been carrying my 3 year old who is getting heavy. I’m hoping I’ve just upset the scar by overexerting myself.
But really worried that it’s something more sinister.
Anyone else’s scars started hurting several years after?
Thanks in advance.

My last one was 15 years ago. If I try to get up slightly twisted then I get a pain. I had a trainee doctor so I think I wasn't stitched up very well.

My son is 10 and i had a emergency c section and have just had a elective one in june but prior to my new LO being born i also had a sharp shooting pain any time i lifted anything heavy even after 10 year i worked in theatre and was told they must have sutured over a never hence why it twinges whenever i lift heavy objects i used so get so worried but was told its normal if you are worried call your g.p but mine was exactly the same 😞😞

I had my last one 9 years ago, and I think I've had twinges of pain/itching on it in the last 18 months. So it can flare up a bit, but if it goes on for more than a few days I think you should speak to your GP.

Thank you for your replies. It feels reassuring to think that it isn’t completely unusual. My aunt was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and I’m in a downward spiral of health anxiety....

I have an emergency csection 13 years ago

I fine I get twinges and a pulling sensation just before my period and sometimes during ovulation.

Also worse when I was overweight (still am but not as much as I was)

Mine was a year ago and I still get twinges. Usually when exercising or if I bend over at a funny angle. I think it’s normal. Don’t forget the scar goes right through several layers of muscle, fat, womb etc so it’s not just a scar on the surface, it does deeper than that. I wouldn’t worry.
