Perfect little moments....

I'm squashed in bed with both DC. I'm drinking tea and reading Mumsnet they are watching Charlie Brown. (One has cereal and the other toast - I might regret that bit!)
Life can be pretty stressful at times and then there are these perfect little moments that keep you going.

Ah that’s lovely OP, enjoy!

I had one yesterday. The sun was shining, a breeze was blowing, I was sitting on a bench in the garden watching DH mowing the grass and DD running around with her curls blowing around her little face beaming and handing me her favourite stones and stopping every few minutes to have a little dance. For a second everything felt perfect.

I had one last night!

Just me and the DC on the sofa, playing Hangman and falling about laughing at daft guesses and DD's silly drawings. Then DS pipes up "I love this day!" ☺️

Totally mundane but just one of those little moments that made me realise how lucky I am.

So lovely to read others' moments.

Love this.

It seems to me that such moments are usually found in the mundane and not the expensive showy off experiences that everyone is aspiring to.

I feel these when we are all together and laughing, when everyone is content. Perfect moments that remind you that all is well at its core.

Dd is teething and miserable. She was cuddled in yesterday and baby started kicking. I lifted my jumper and she put her little hand on my tummy and beamed at me. Utter perfection.

Lazysundaymorning · 23/08/2020 08:25

WinWinnieTheWay yes, you describe it well.

I went out yesterday morning and was gone all morning which is unusual for me at the moment. Lovely SIL was looking after my two kids, and when I got home the two of them just mobbed me and were so pleased to see me, it was so lovely. I just had a big cuddle with both of them and smelled them and it was a lovely moment.

I was on a walk yesterday in the sunshine. I'd sat on a tree stump to enjoy the view when a random, but totally adorable teddy bear type dog ( cockerpoo possibly ) came and sat next to me, then put her head in my lap. She was so sweet. We stayed there like that until her family caught up with her. I was quite sad to see her go ( lost my dog a couple of years ago, too heartbroken still to 'replace' him) maybe it's a sign ?

I went out for a run this morning before anyone else was up, got back at 645, walked in and my 2 dds ran for a cuddle, I said I was sweaty but my elder dd aged 5 said it didnt matter she was so happy to see me. She then told me to sit with them while they ate breakfast and drew pictures, while dh handed me a cup of tea and said hed have bacon sandwiches ready in 30mins if I wanted a quick shower first. Was just a lovely atmosphere to come in to

More lovely posts.
My DC have been scrapping since they got up! Grin

@lookatmememe that sounds like it could be a sign. What a sweet moment.

On a local beach reading my book. DH has taken our two DDs to play in the shallows. I watched him - all broad shouldered masculinity - and them - such sweet, vulnerable, over-excited innocence - playing in the waves and sunshine and my heart was just full of love and happiness. I almost started crying there and then. But I held it together because I'm a hard cow!!
