What was your favourite ice cream flavour or type when you were a child and now ?

I grewed up in the 70s and 80s when there wasn't quite the choice there is now. There was Lyons Maid, Walls and Midland Counties with vanilla, Cornish, raspberry ripple and Neopolitan. I think I liked Cornish the best. Some shops sold the fancy Napoli soft scoop ice cream - I usually had the lime flavour but sometimes orange or strawberry. I never liked chocolate ice cream. King Cones or Cornettos were just becoming popular in the mid 70s.

I haven't had any ice cream for years so I don't know what's popular these days. Is pistachio any good ?

Hokey Pokey as a kid, now it's rose and pistacchio.

Does anyone remember this tub of ice cream sold at Asda? It was like a 5 flavour Neapolitan ice cream tub - but unlike Neapolitan the ice cream sections were blue, purple, green, orange etc and fruit flavoured? Google doesn’t bring up anything Sad

Raspberry ripple or Neapolitan as a kid, mint choc chip now.

Mint choc chip as a child and still love it now. Probably equel favourite is Haagen Dazs cookies and cream.

As a kid I only liked white vanilla not yellow vanilla. I think some people thought it was weird.
I still pretty much feel the same way though.

Was never that into icecream as a child apart from an occasional vanilla soft serve and I still love those. But I absolutely love the Amorino Madagascan vanilla icecream, it's heavenly

Can anybody bite into ice cream, front teeth first, without cringing ? I used to be able to but now I'm not sure as I've not had ice cream for years.

I used to like choc-ices, but I never knew if they were coated in real chocolate or artificial chocolate- flavour crap.
