Are gp’s informed when patients pass away

A friend of mine has just received a letter to her house for her old house mate who sadly passed away about six months ago. I would have assumed the hospital would have written to the gp?

Yes, the hospital would normally inform the GP.

They should have been informed, it doesn’t always happen though unfortunately.

Was the letter from her GP?
