What's everyone up to on this windy Saturday?

I'm just finishing my cuppa then going to sort some washing and get dd1 up. She asked me to get her up around 10:30 .

I'm going to steadily paint some more of my kitchen cupboards today. Dd2 wants to watch Dumbo so I'll set her up with popcorn & fizzy pop to watch it.

We might go for a wander down the river later on.

What about you lot? :)

Did the washing and put it out. Was drying nicely until we had a cloudburst and then it was sopping again. Some of it is now indoors because the wind had dropped from yesterday’s hefty gale, but it’s got really bad again now. DH has washed all the hard floors and we’ve had an exciting trip out to buy compost. I’ll be changing g the sheets in a bit.

Was waiting for someone to come round to view my house. They've not turned up!

Going for a second viewing on a house in a bit. other than that I'm spending the day nit doing a lot as my neck is currently in spasm!

Nothing more strenuous than showering am. Working pm.

My dog is hiding under the butterfly bush so I'm hiding with him.

We've just found out he has terminal cancer.

I did have a cushion to sit on but my other dog has pinched it.

@lucysmam This is ours. I think we win the floor horror prize, though yours is a close second. What colour are you painting your cabinets?

Went for a run up Snowdon with 2 friends, bacon sandwich, tidy up and roast dinner and a bottle of wine tonight.

Bit windy and rainy but used to it,

I've been in the garden collecting apples and blackberries for crumble.
3 loads of washing and drying put away.
Chilled out on the sofa with dc.
Had some surprise visitors so had a cuppa and a chat with them.
Now I'm relaxing again...I'm tired today.
And yes Its windy here too.

@SomethingNastyInTheBallPool yours would go quite nicely with my kitchen! I've used big apple paint (Wilko) on the walls, stormcloud satin on the cupboards (cupboard paint's too glossy & shows up someone else's awful, drippy, paint job) and tile stickers in the same colourway as your floor on the tiles.

It looks half decent, after a lot of dithering about doing it!

@lucysmam Ooh, I hadn’t even thought about tile stickers as an option for the floor. I guess it’s a bit too early to tell how hard-wearing they’ll be?

It is! But I have seen a fair few posts over the course of lockdown, on one of the fb DIY groups, where folks have painted then stencilled floors, and then varnished them. That might be an option maybe? It's not for mine because it's knackered old lino that's ripped in places, over asbestos backed tiles & some of them are cracked under the lino so quite a hefty job. We'll see how it fares!
