Trying to clear out excess stuff - do I need to keep or can I chuck or even sell on eBay (currently short of cash)?
I’ve managed to sort out some old phone chargers, I know there are some Ethernet cables ...

I wouldn't have thought they were worth selling, there's a million people in China selling cables on eBay for pennies, or so it would seem.

So unless you're likely to need them, put them in the small electronics recycling bin at the tip or your neighbourhood recycling centre. You can always replace one for pennies from eBay in the unlikely event that you've thrown away something you shouldn't have. If the chargers fit phones you currently have, keep one as a spare.

But I don't understand how you've accumulated old phone chargers, I always sell old phones even if broken and then send the charger with the phone.

I don’t know how I have so many either. I also tend to agree that if I’m not using it I can chuck it / but I struggle with getting rid of stuff, (just in case)

Put them with your other spares. All those plugs you cut off.
Then when the apocalypse happens you, like me, will be a village chieftain with ALL the connectors.

I’m actually struggling with the idea I might be a hoarder! Even though I’m not a compulsive collector or shopper, my house isn’t cluttered, but I can’t let go.
