Is anyone else sick of ebay?

i've lost £200 this year from items not turning up, sellers not providing proof of purchase, ebay not doing anything abut it in the resolution centre.

I've decided never to buy anything on there again I'm sick of it.

Currently waiting for resolution centre to sort out a tablecloth that never turned up, seller refuses to show me proof of posting, I don't believe that the item was ever sent to me. I have no faith in the resolution centre.

Anyone else having problems? I'm wondering if I should contact trading standards.

It's usually the sellers who lose the items not arriving dispute.

Did you pay via paypal? i'm sure paypal offers protection

The resolution centre pretty much always find in favour of the buyer so this seems a little odd.

I'm surprised. Usually buyers are universally believed and sellers penalised.

Without proof of delivery the seller will lose an item not received request.

This has been my experience of eBay... Which is why I've stopped selling on there.

I'm surprised you've lost so much and I'm surprised multiple sellers have been difficult. I've never had a problem with getting a refund or replacement for a missing item. One message to the seller and it's sorted. Are these items all from the same seller?

As a seller I used to put most things in the post box so didn't get proof of posting but I always did so accepting that I would have to refund without question if anything went missing, which never happened. So the seller not providing proof does not necessarily mean the item was never sent (especially for something like a tablecloth which can easily go in the post box) but they should be prepared to refund you or replace the item.
