I used them loads when I was a student and after Uni. Used them for travelling. Great people and lots of local knowledge.

A real shame

Huge shame, I used them for booking last major overseas holiday and they were fantastic.

Really good travel insurance too.

Sad lost to the travel industry. Fond memories booking with them for around the world intrepid adventures in between university degrees. They seem pretty knowledgeable and suited to the post graduate and younger professional segment and then diy online last minute price scanning apps arrived and they failed to keep to with trends for exotic trips and keen pricing and preferably packaged to ensure against any issues and protection of monies paid. Thank you STA you were amazing and will be cherished with fond nostalgia.

That's such as shame. They were fantastic when I was planning my travels.

Nooooo - i have great memories of planning and booking travels with them. Their knowledge was amazing. A big loss Sad

There are going to be way more big losses to the travel industry before this is out. STA is one of our biggest customers and it will likely put our small business out of business too. Really viable business is ‘normal’ times. Gutted for their staff who are amazing and ultimately for us and our staff too.

chomalungma · 21/08/2020 23:13

It was great sitting down with their brochures and planning adventures. I suppose that a lot is all going to be done online now - but I have happy memories of it.

It is gutting for all the staff and people who depend on them @thewinkingprawn

The problem was they marketed themselves as offering cheap deals to students but their prices were actually really expensive!
