How do they actually recalculate everyone’s grades?

So since the exam boards had to regrade everyone, do a big group of people within the boards have to sit down and go through everyone’s results? Confused

Or does a big computer do it all for them?

The centre assessed grades are already there in the system so there is no recalculating to be done, just use the grade submitted by the school

The data was sent to the exam boards in a particular format and just fed through the computer system. A real person probably hasn’t even set eyes on it at individual pupil level.

It's the highest grade awarded from the algorithm grade and the CAG so a student could end up,with a combination of both.
