Does anyone volunteer with people with disabilities?

Sorry for the broad title! I'd like to start looking again at volunteering (I had started to research but gave up when covid came along). I'd like to do something with people, maybe helping to care for people with learning disabilities or befriending. I haven't had a great deal of experience - apart from I've done a few weeks at Revitalise (charity which provides respite care in a holiday type environment). That was residential, though.

Does anyone do anything similar on a weekly basis? I'm based in London.

If you run, try the Good Gym (not a gym!!) - they have a Wandsworth branch - regular group missions plus support to individuals

I’m not sure if Richmond is accessible to you, but if it is Ruils is a befriending charity based there.

Make a basic Linkdin profile. I accidentally looked up details of one 'job' that turned out to be expenses only in the fine print, and receive a fair number of London based voluntary opportunities ever since.

I used to volunteer with Mencap in a day centre. They did lots of activities - games, outings etc.
I really enjoyed it.

There is probably somewhere similar near you, hopefully will be reopening soon.
