stroller tipping

Hi guys
I hope everyone's well. How often do you guys have your stroller or buggy tip over due to overloading? Is there anything that can be done or used to stop it happening? (other than not overloading) I've seen weights on Amazon but they look really small? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Smile

Hey there,

usually, when a stroller tips because of overloading, it's a very lightweight stroller and those are never meant to carry load on their handlebar. I know it's a convenient way to carry your nappy bag but if the pushchair is below 8-9 kg, it's usually not suitable for such use. You need to use it with the bag in the storage basket.

The really small - travel buggies, umbrella strollers and ultracompacts are worse off in the bag-hanging area, so there I don't recommend it at all - and if, then truly a bag super small/light. Otherwise you overstrain the chassis anyway...

On the other hand, I've used the GB Zero with truly heavy bags on the handle and it never tipped - BUT that is rare when a ligthweight pushchair has such a good center of gravity. I wouldn't count on that much with most compact strollers.

Overall, rather go for a mid-size model if needing to put a bag on the handle. And even there, be careful not to go for the most lightweight one. And consult the manual if unsure.
