Has anyone stayed at the Langham Hotel in London, interested in opinions.

We've got a big wedding anniversary coming up early next year. Original plans were a week abroad somewhere hot and lovely, but rethinking that now due to covid etc.

Now wondering about a few days in London, spending way more than we would normally do on a hotel, as a special treat, and because it would still cost far less than a week abroad.

I'm drawn to the Langham and it has great reviews but would welcome MN views too.

Not stayed there but been to bars a few times - it’s lovely, v central and slightly quieter location than you might expect given proximity to oxford st. Service there has been great

I stayed there, but it was back in 2007. It was very nice, and the history of the place was really interesting. As pp says it is quieter than you would expect for the location.

I’ve also stayed there, but it was a few years ago. Would definitely book again, the service levels are top notch.
Our room was gorgeous, food was great and I loved the location. Second only to Claridges for me.

Not stayed but had a wonderful, very special and memorable afternoon tea there once with my late grandma. Beautiful surroundings, delicious food and impeccable service. It seemed as though exactly what you wanted would arrive before you even asked.
