Pending transactions

Do they always show up straight away?

I put £15 of petrol in my car this morning using the pay at pump, my pending transactions show the £1 transaction check amount but not the £15 I’ve actually spent. Am I getting free petrol? I went into the supermarket after and that payment is showing up as pending.

Disclaimer: I would actually go back to pay if it didn’t go through.

Whenever I use pay at pump it always shows as £1 then within 24/48hrs the actual amount comes out.

On my bank account if you click on the £1 pending it says amount to be finalised.
