I hate tea (including the fruit ones) and coffee. Used to love hot ribena till they changed the recipe, now left with only hot chocolate. Any other suggestions?

Hot Lemon Barley water
Rock’s blackcurrant squash does not have artificial sweeteners, and is much more like traditional Ribena. Not quite as sugary.

Thanks, will give those ones a go.

Have you tried all the fruit tea? I used to hate them but now really enjoy the berry ones, especially blueberry or black currant.

TinyMetalBirds · 20/08/2020 12:08

I don’t like the berry or lemon type fruit teas but I like camomile tea, and camomile and spiced apple.

Nosuchluck · 20/08/2020 12:10

Cupasoup?

nocoolnamesleft · 20/08/2020 12:12

Herb teas? Tend to have more flavour than the fruit ones.

I’ve just discovered this Chai Tea Latte....( I’m not usually a tea drinker , prefer a frothy coffee) but this is lovely, make it with half hot milk, 3 scoops of the Chai tea then top it up with hot water, it’s lovely (quite sweet though) can buy it in Asda, Sainsburies etc

Camomile and spiced apple along with peppermint and liquorice are my two go to hot drinks. I don't like peppermint tea but I do like it with the liquorice and I don't like liquorice.

Regularname · 20/08/2020 12:17

Maybe branch out on type of hot chocolate? I like mint, I’ve seen orange and then more bitter ones.

Chemenger · 20/08/2020 12:17

I drink mint tea, I find fruit tea sickly but mint tea is quite a clean taste.

cariadlet · 20/08/2020 12:21

Hot water with a slice of lemon.

Hot Vimto
Belvoir blackcurrant and blueberry cordial

scissorspaperrock · 20/08/2020 12:27

Have you ever tried a caramel latte? Whilst it is still a coffee, it is definitely more caramel than coffee flavoured. Also, a mocha is a mix between coffee and a hot chocolate which you may find acceptable.

spacepoppers · 20/08/2020 12:29

I've recently been introduced to Whittards hot chocolate, so many different flavours, currently loving the marzipan - not too sweet.

AdaColeman · 20/08/2020 12:32

Mint tea, I like Pukka brand.

Hot broth, made with Marigold stock powder.

Consommé, especially nice with toast fingers, Baxters or Sainsburys own brand.

rubydoobydoo · 20/08/2020 12:35

Belvoir ginger cordial is lovely warm.

firstshift · 20/08/2020 12:57

oxo!

leafeater · 20/08/2020 13:04

I second warm ginger cordial. I sometimes add a bit of elderflower cordial or fresh mint
