Hello advice welcome, please can anyone advise me on feeding two kittens.
Both had their jabs and worming treatment. But one of my kittens is always gassy and has smelly poo. I feed them grain free Natures Menu kitten, and keep them separate, fed 4 times a day. They are 4 months old they have two sachets each according to the package plus a little dry mixed in
It is the Male kitten that has the gas. Any ideas what food to try next? Thank you

We can't give you any advice without pictures, those are the rules on the litter tray.

Hi! My male kitten (now just turned 1) struggled a lot with loose smelly poo and lots of gas. We also had him on natures menu (even though it cost a fortune we were happy to give him the very best!)
To try and resolve the issues, we ended up trying a variety of other foods, including cheaper brands and eventually settled on 'gourmet - poultry in jelly' pouches. Within 1-2 days everything was completely resolved. A couple of times we have experimented and tried to deviate (even just trying gourmet with gravy one time) and he instantly has the loose smelly poo and gas back again. Your kitten might be different but I thought I would share our experiences! I think moral of the story is don't worry and keep trying different foods for a couple of days at a time and see how he goes Smileour final step was going to be the vets if it didn't resolve but thankfully it did and hopefully yours will too!

I don't want to be the one to say it, but, have you arranged to have them to the vet to be neutered/spayed? I would talk the gas issue over with the vet when you are there.

Thank you, I will be getting kittens spayed/neutered when they are 5 months as told by my vet. I will be back sooner though as I need some more worming tablets and shall ask him then.

If you can see the males testicles he can get the girl pg, cats ovulate after sex so they don’t need to have a season to get pg. she’ll just start to get a bit pudgy.

I would be wary of waiting that long, your vet should be advising according to weight, not age.
