Apply for this job or not?

I applied for and had an interview for a job back in June. I didn't get it and was a bit gutted, the feedback was 'the test was really good, went on a bit during questions and just didn't answer as they'd want in regards to the industry involved' (for example, Engineering- my answers were more generic)
I've just seen this job has been advertised again, DH thinks I should apply again- throw my hat back in the ring. I feel like they didn't want me before, when the successful applicant has obviously fallen through they haven't come back to me so clearly wasn't even 2nd or 3rd choice so it would be silly to reapply.
What should I do, hive mind? It would have been an interesting change of career for me, and had lots of benefits, but I was pretty upset not to get it the last time...

I'd reapply. Especially if you can just copy/paste your application

I would contact the point of contact on the advert before submitting another application to be honest.

Apply again, what's the worst that can happen? If they really don't want you they'll likely get turned down before the interview stage so won't have the face to face embarrassment. If you get an interview and show that you have improved based on their feedback it could impress them into giving the job!

I've just interviewed for vacancies in my department, first time. Please do try again. There were several candidates that were brilliant on paper but were terrible at interview.

When asked about skills several rhymed off qualifications and examples were to general with no conclusions. Ie describe an example where you used your initiative or dealt with conflict.

Having been on both sides now I can see where I was going wrong. I got this job on my 2nd attempt too.
