Anyone else on annual leave and feeling miserable?

First world problem I know but I was really looking forward to two weeks off. Worked through the good weather and we now have weather warnings. It’s beyond stick a coat on and get on with it. Stuck indoors with bored kids, worried about going back to work already, feeling ill, holiday abroad cancelled. Anyone want to join me in misery, or give me a kick up the arse?

I'm on annual leave too. Not feeling the misery, but then I don't have children to entertain! I'm doing a big cross stitch project and relaxing with an audiobook.

I sympathise. Had annual leave in May, stuck at home when should have been abroad.
Annual leave again next week. Another week at home. It's so fucking boring!

Should have been I Crete. Watching bargain hunt from a(lovely) cottage in Cheshire.

Off to a nuclear bunker later though!

topcat2014 My DH would love that! He has a concrete fetish 😄. I’m feeling too ill to motivate myself to do anything but guilty for just allowing myself to laze. DH still working at home. If the kids weren’t here I’d get into bed with the cat and radio 4.

I found the week I had at home awful. Fortunately we’ve been able to go on our planned holiday and the sun, sea, sand of Scotland was just the tonic. However back in work now and just want to cry.

PaperMonster Glad you managed a lovely break. We’ve got 5 nights in Wales next week. Lovely area and we can do the duty visits with in-laws. Shit weather for camping though. There’s nothing to look forward to but winter and a fuck ton of work when ‘holiday’ is over. And whatever joys back to school will bring,

I was due to be on annual leave this week but last week I dislocated my shoulder and now I'm on sick leave for two weeks. I can't do any of the things I planned to do with my week of annual leave because I can't move my right arm, so I'm stuck in front of the TV with box sets. I can't even read a book because I can't hold the book or turn the pages. I'll join you in your misery.

@DefConOne fingers crossed the forecasts are wrong - this is what kept happening with us in Scotland! Enjoy being away - it does make a difference! X

I'm on annual leave from next Monday and I'm not holding my breath for good weather.

We've had massive thunder storms for the last week and it's absolutely pissing down today. Miserable.
