Apple text - is this 'phishing' ?

Hello all,

I got this text from an unknown number just now - has anyone else had similar?

Apple: We still didn't hear from you. To avoid account deactivation, please visit apple.co.uk-user-cloud.services/ to confirm your account details.

The link took me to what looks like an Apple website asking me to put in my email & password... but I'm not convinced it's real.
Have had the best help & support here in the past. Can anyone advise?

Thanks 🙏🏽

Yes this is phishing! Notice that it's ".uk-user" rather than ".uk/user" - that means it is NOT apple.co.uk. Do not respond. If you're really concerned you could Google a contact number for apple customer support.

That is not the real apple site.

In fact, I've just clicked on the link to have a look around (I work in cybersecurity so I'm interested in these types of scams and seeing how realistic they are!) and my phone has warned me of the suspicious URL.

Apple wouldn’t send a text like that. Defo phishing.

Thanks everyone - I very very nearly sent my details Confused

It's the .services at the end that's the clue.

Knowing how to read a URL is really useful for recognising phishing attempts

Just realised I may have submitted my email address but not my password. Can they do anything with that I wonder? They now have my phone no & email address.... ?? This hasn't happened to me before.

Do not click on that link! That is not a legit Apple url!
