Hi, I've seen a few posts of C25k but wondering if anyone is currently doing 5k210k? How are you finding it?

I want to start. I'm not the fastest, I run 5km in 32mins so I definitely need to do the interval training bits.

Any tips? I'm really not sure this step up will be do able for me

In my experience, going from 5k to 10K is a whole lot easier than getting to 5K from nothing. You've already got the running skills, so once you can run for half an hour it's just about building stamina. There are a few different apps with 5 to 10 programmes and, like C25K, it's all about running longer distances with short walking breaks, until they all join up and you're running for an hour. I've always found that much easier compared to the struggle to get to the point where you can run for 5K in the first place. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how manageable you find it.

Definitely.

I took 5 months to do C25k. Less than 3 months later, I ran all of a 8.5 mile race. I'd signed up expecting to run/ walk then did some of a C210k plan, but really just extended my main run each week and got close to 10k then got swept along by the other runners and ran the whole thing.

I run up to HM these days and the first 5k tends to be harder as it's that long to warm up!

Thanks for the replies, it's nice to hear that you didnt find the step up too bad. I'm a bit nervous of adding in walking bits again as I think I might just keep walking 😂
