Pink fleece (slim fit stops at hips). Fake fur (bomber style). And a pink camoflage patterned waterproof (boxy swing coat that stops at the hips). None of the them very warm (imo) or likely to keep her dry in a deluge ...

Haven’t looked into a school coat yet, that has to be plain black or navy and the blazer has to fit underneath. Will be fun ordering and returning until I get one which fit.

Otherwise she has a ski jacket style waterproof one from Trespass. DD is a Scout and needs warm and waterproof coats she can run around and be active in, hence it needs to be an outdoor shop one. We normally shop at Trespass or Decathlon.

For autumn she has a thinner but also proper waterproof one.

Mine has a waterproof navy school coat that never gets worn (jumper and blazer is enough and doesn't mind getting wet at the bus stop.

Pink puffa jacket and fur trimmed parka for cold weather home wear.

Between her and DS who is a similar size they have a whole range of thick and thin waterproofs for Explorers, Guides, school residentials but they virtually never get used. Mine are coat-resisters on the whole.

My dd refused to wear a coat from year 7 until she left school. She wasn't alone in that either. None of her friends wore coats either!

Strange, in DD’s school lots of the girls wear coats, at least when it is really cold and wet.

My eldest (age 13) has two coats, a pac mac that always lives in her bag because she walks to/from school...Welsh weather isn't renown for being dry and a trespass coat for when she actually accepts it's cold.

As we live 2 miles away from school most local children wear coats for walking to/from school because looking like a frozen drowned rat is definitely less favourable than just wearing a plain black coat!

My dd has one from Tesco padded with fur trim on hood, only wears it for school when it’s very cold or very wet. Does wear it at weekends, also has a lightweight waterproof for when we go walking or activities with guides. Also has a fake leather biker style.
