Can I just say before I start that I know I have been monumentally stupid.
Just over a year ago I had pre-payment meters removed from my house. I paid gas and electric to the same company.
About a month later I had a letter saying they were sorry my first bill was late but it would be sent out to me soon.
Shortly after that time I had a very traumatic experience that led to a complete breakdown to the point where I now don't really remember much from that time, it's all a bit of a blur tbh. I think I had another letter saying sorry your bill is late but since then I have had no correspondence from them whatsoever.
I didn't chase them, I haven't paid them anything since
I have just started to feel better and I am now trying to fix all the damage that has been done. I'm scared to get in touch with them.
I went on my online account and it still says I'm on pre-payment meter, nothing on there about them being taken out.
What should I do? I'm so embarrassed and ashamed I don't know where to start.
