Damn Dyson replacement?

I’ve been very depressed (awaiting therapy and receiving support in the interim). Over lockdown, everything went to shit domestically but I have to dig deep and get things straightened up as baby is due in six weeks’ time. I have anxiety-related neatfreak tendencies - I know I can’t afford to let perfection be the enemy of good here - but I’ll feel much better if I can get my home back into some sort of shape over the next fortnight.

In a rush, I bought a Dyson Big Ball Animal 2 cylinder late last year, having loved my previous Dyson, which died at a super-inconvenient moment. It’s rubbish, loses suction, such as it is, really quickly and needs emptying every five minutes (also falls open really easily on the way to the bin, spilling contents everywhere, for bonus points), the ‘pneumatic’ head is hard work and just balls up hair without removing it, so I have to use the small crappy turbine for everything, and one pass often isn’t enough. Even the combi tool brush doesn’t do the job of dusting very well, unlike the previous one. Should’ve heeded the bad reviews but it was a panic buy.

Can anyone who’s replaced a Dyson recommend an alternative that does everything Dysons used to do when they were good? Ideally one I can get my hands on fast!

Shark anti hair wrap.

Suction is phenomenal, you'll have to empty it more often at first due to the sheer amount of crap it gets up! My stairs changed colour Blush

Another vote for shark. Mines a lift away something or other model. It is ace.

HOWEVER it gets very little use as we also have a eufy robovac and I cannot recommend one highly enough.

Thanks so much, both. Have Googled and like the look of Sharks. Not too expensive either, unlike [narrows eyes] the Dyson.

What neatfreak doesn’t want colour-changing stairs? Shock
