Hi, im a First time mum, and my baby is just 2 weeks old, we give him his last bottle about half 9/10 before taking him up to bed, but... he screams the house down and is unsettled from then until his next feed which is usually around 3 hours.. does he just know its bedtime and not like it? After that next feed he goes down perfectly all night.

At that age babies don't have any comprehension of day or night. At 2 weeks old he just wants to be with you. Are you leaving him alone?

Could be colic, or trapped wind... how is he at bringing up burps etc? How long are you holding him upright for after a feed?

It could also be that he's a baby. Sorry! My DD was like this from 2-9weeks, would just scream from 8pm to 3am. Miserable.

He brings his wind up quite well, usually just hold him in my arms until I think he's nodded off only to put him down for him to start crying. We don't leave him alone when we take him up we put him in his moses basket in our room and we try to sleep at that time too.

Hmmmmm it could be that he's not deeply asleep enough - try holdig him upright for longer, maybe warm the moses basket and put a tshirt that smells of you over the mattress?

Its very normal for tiny babies to not want to be put down, I'm afraid.

I remember when ds was that age I was absolutely adimant that he hated our bedroom, because as soon as we took him up there, he would either scream or just be awake and ready for a party! I remember being on right move and saying to dh we would have to move if he didn't like it... I can laugh about it now! In reality, he was just 2 weeks old and wanted cuddles and didn't know what night time was. Sorry op. It does get better, everything is a phase! Hang in there

Yeah I was thinking that about our room too! Looking at his cute little face in the morning makes me forget I've had hardly any sleep 🙂 we will get there im sure thank you x
