Really missing dh travelling for work

I used to regularly get a couple of days a week to myself and a whole week about 4 times a year. Now he’s here...wfh full time...and no prospect of travelling for a long time.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m v grateful we are both working. But 8 really miss time to myself, spreading out in the bed, eating things that aren’t really food for dinner, having a day off work and being able to mooch about the house.

I empathise. DH is ex forces and he used to be away a lot, it's nice having him home, but some days I do miss having a bit of time to myself.

I totally get what you mean, I think we’ve both been suffering a bit from not having time alone and being at home together every day.
Thankfully DP has been away for a couple of nights last week and this and I remembered how nice it is to slob around, eat a microwave curry for dinner and watch total rubbish on TV
You have my sympathies

My DH lost his job. Hopefully things will pick up, but we have never spent this much time together.
Money is not the issue, I just need some space Blush

Yes, you can have too much togetherness.

Me too OP. DH used to travel regularly for work and I loved letting ddog in to bed with me at night for a cuddle and watching trashy tv in the evenings that DH would never watch!

He's WFH full time now and even though it helps with childcare, I think we've all had enough and want to get back to old routine which won't happen for a while.

I hear you. DH and I are both at home. I usually wfh 1-2 days per week while he's in the office and the kids at school.

I miss my space.

Oh god yes!!! Dh has been at home full time for over a year now...I used to have all these lovely evenings when I could eat what I wanted watch what I wanted and not have to think about anyone else!!!

Totally agree. I actually cracked and had a whole night of bad telly in front of him tonight and now I think he sees me differently... The scales have finally fallen off as he realises I'm addicted to Glow Up and Australian Master Chef and don't spend my evenings alone watching complex furrin dramas.

Yes, I miss using sticks of celery to eat a huge pile of mashed potato and staying up till 3.
