Does your fridge freezer stick out?

My fridge freezer (American style) needs replacing. It sits in a gap between 2 cupboards and sticks out a bit ( maybe 3 cm?). Is this normal to stick out? If I buy a freestanding one will this be okay? Or do I need integrated? Please can anyone help!

Ours does. We looked at counter depth ones so it wouldn’t but they’re really small. Depends on how much fridge space you need.

Thanks. I am confused as to whether or not I can just put a normal freestanding American fridge freezer in the gap that I have without it sticking out.

So does mine...

I think it's normal for American style fridge freezers to stick out as they need the clearance for the doors to open. Ours does too.

We replaced ours with freestanding and yes, it sticks out a bit. It's a Haier and I'm very impressed with it! Cost around £400.

Thanks....I hadn’t really taken much notice of the sticking out until now. Did you know you can spend £9.5k on a fridge! Miele I think.
